Just got a call on my phone from a guy who said his name was Keanu and he worked for the legal team at Auto Assist. He talked nicely but his accent was more like Gravesend than Glasgow. I had a feeling about what he was going to say, so I told him I’m on the TPS list and shouldn’t be getting these cold calls. I added that if the company was legit, I’d report them, but since I didn’t believe they were, I wouldn’t bother. Before I could say more, he hung up on me.

Got a call from this number recently. I picked up since I’m expecting a call from a firm in Glasgow. The bloke sounded polite, had an English accent, and was asking about a car accident I supposedly had. I told him I hadn’t been in any accident and asked what was the point of his call if it was unsolicited. He claimed it wasn’t a cold call. Thought there were rules against that kind of call, especially from what sounded like a UK call centre. Number’s blocked now!

Got a call from someone called Lewis, claimed to be from 'the legal team', saying my name was on some accident list. Told him I never made any claim, but he insisted I was owed cash. I told him I didn’t want to chat, he asked why not. I said I was just relaxing and he was being pretty pushy. He said he’d ring me again later. Ended up blocking the number!

Got a call from someone pretending to be from an insurance company, and they were quite intimidating. Bit strange really, as I don’t drive and haven’t got a car anyway. The person kept insisting they had my property details, even though I don’t have any car insurance. I told them that, but they just chuckled and suddenly ended the call.

Wouldn’t say where they got my info from, just claimed it was from UKIG and when I asked for their address, they told me to look it up myself. Didn’t want to give their own address either. Definitely a scam, just cold calling trying to drum up fake claims. I asked for details for a data access request and the person just hung up on me.

When I told the manager it was a total con, she went all high and mighty, saying, “Do you know who I am?” I just told her I couldn’t care less and hung up, then blocked the number. Got a call from 0141 319 7104 today around 3:50pm. The woman said she was from the legal team at Auto Assist, claiming I was part of a crash two years ago. I told her I don't drive, then she said "I have a note here that you were a passenger." I asked "Which car are you talking about?" and then she just hung up. I've never been in any accident. Normally I wouldn’t pick up unknown numbers, but since it was an 0141 code, I assumed it was local. It’s not right that they can pull this kind of stuff!!

Got calls on consecutive days from 0141 319 7104 & 0141 3197533 while I was waiting for some software to load, so I figured I’d kill some time talking to them. Just so you know, everything I told them was completely made up. I even said I’d been in an accident, but it wasn’t my fault. Then they put me through to a “supervisor” who only knew my name and postcode. I tried to work out what other info they had because it seemed like they had very little. No matter how many different stories I told, she carried on with the same script.

Got a call from a woman with a proper English lilt, said she was from Auto Assist’s legal team. She had my full name spot on and tried to tell me about some accident I’d supposedly been in over the past couple of years. I’d say if you don’t know the number, don’t answer, but if you do, just stay quiet when they ring - saying “hello” seems to activate a real or maybe fake operator on the other end. I've blocked the number now.

Got a call where the person was really pushy and rude, going on about some accident that never even happened to me.

Got a call today on my phone while I was busy at work. The number said Glasgow, but I don't reckon they're actually from there. If it's that lot about "you've had an accident," next time I'll pick up and give them a bit of a runaround for a laugh - drain their time instead. Last time I played along, told them sure, I’ve had a few accidents over the past couple years and kept going, then they suddenly said oh, no, we meant accidents like incontinence! Honestly, might block the number soon!

This number just rang me: Caller said, "Hello, I'm with the legal group." I replied, "Oh, I'm with the eagle squad." They insisted, "No, really, legal team here." I shot back, "Nah, eagle team on my end." Then the bloke just cut off. Blocked the number straight away.
