They phoned me with a pronounced Asian accent, claiming to represent a support service for scam and nuisance calls, insisting they wanted to enhance their offerings at absolutely no charge. They confirmed my full name and home address, which was rather off-putting. Then, they proceeded to pry into my debit card details, inquiring about its expiry date, when it was activated, and how my name appears on the card. Feeling quite dubious about their intentions, I promptly ended the call.

Rang me at a quarter to eight this morning for the second consecutive day, stating they were conducting some sort of market survey. After a bit of digging, I figured out they were an overseas call centre working for save2day. When I requested to chat with a supervisor, it was like watching his grasp on the English language slip away-he ended up not being able to utter a single word in English! Eventually, we must have hit a snag, as the line abruptly went dead!

He was rattling off his spiel until I brought up the telephone preference service, and then suddenly, the line cut off. I've lodged a complaint on the Information Commissioner's website. It's crucial for everyone to report these nuisance calls to the Data Protection Commissioner-only then can we hope to see these wrongdoers held accountable and slapped with fines.
