I keep receiving calls from a firm named McLean’s regarding some supposed unclaimed compensation related to an accident! The amusing bit? I’ve not had any accident at all! 🙄

It was a scam call about a supposed car crash. I never had an accident. When I asked how they got my number, they didn’t have an answer. So I just blocked them.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from the Motor Insurance Bureau, but the MIB is actually based in Milton Keynes, not anywhere in Scotland. I just ended the call and tried ringing them back, but the number never answered. Definitely a scam, no doubt about it.

I got a call on my mobile from this number but it stopped ringing before I could pick up. Tried calling back on my landline and the number just wouldn’t connect. Seems dodgy, maybe some kind of scam? Same situation here.

I received a rather dubious phone call from someone asserting they were handling an award of between £1500 to £2000 that I supposedly was entitled to following some unnamed car accident. When I informed them that I hadn’t had any such accident, they quickly switched tactics and started discussing a workplace incident instead. I firmly requested they terminate the call and refrain from reaching out again.

About half an hour prior, I received a call from someone insisting that I was due compensation from a car accident. Quite amusingly, I’ve never actually been in one! While I waited for my wife to finish her appointment at the doctor's, I thought I'd have a bit of fun and string them along. I spun them a yarn about a truly horrific accident that supposedly left me disfigured and jobless. I even mentioned that my only future career options seemed to be as a pathetic nuisance who harasses unsuspecting individuals for a living. It certainly helped to pass the time!
