Today, I received a rather dodgy phone call (16/1/19) that nearly caught me off guard! A chap on the line informed me that my washing machine had expired its warranty. Honestly, I had no idea whether that's true or not! He managed to scrounge up my home address and was pushing for my bank details to arrange a monthly direct debit of £7, promising an enticing discount if I signed up immediately! I was teetering on the brink of falling for this ruse. The numbers involved were 01413195197 and 08000236178, and the caller claimed to be from some company based in Glasgow.

Received a rather dubious call from someone claiming my washing machine's warranty had lapsed, with a tempting offer to extend it for £70 each year. They insisted I have a Zanussi, but that’s not even the brand sitting in my utility room! What’s more, our warranty is still very much intact.
