I've been inundated with calls from this number incessantly over the past few weeks, and they appear to be nothing but scammers who can’t be traced. They seem to be operating out of Glasgow, yet I refuse to engage with them. My mental and physical health isn't great, and with my husband still battling cancer, we truly don’t need the hassle of numpties ringing us up and leaving silent messages every few minutes. We've set our phone to answer 24/7 on silent mode instead. Recently, we've switched to "Answer Only" so they get a rather unpleasant automated message in return. It’s infuriating that Sky would share my information in this way; I’m meant to be ex-directory, after all!

I've received quite a few notifications about "missed calls" on my mobile over the last few weeks. Whenever I attempt to return the call, I'm met with a pre-recorded voice that just keeps me on hold indefinitely. It's puzzling as there’s no company name mentioned at all.

We've been dealing with this for the past couple of days. I sent a text to the number, but I've received no response. It had a Glasgow area code. We decided to give them a ring since we can make free calls within the UK. However, we just ended up on hold. It might be some sort of scam call.

We answered this number as soon as it began to ring, and a chap on the line claimed to be representing British Gas. He was eager to discuss loft insulation and insurance for our central heating and boiler, seemingly taken aback that we were already covered. This left us rather puzzled about the legitimacy of his claims, particularly as he should have been aware of our existing arrangements. Our recommendation? Avoid ringing them back. If you do pick up, refrain from sharing any personal information. Simply let them know you'll get in touch with the company directly if you wish to modify your services, and then hang up.

These chaps ring you up under the guise of wanting to register a call but never actually relay any information. The moment you return their call, they go quiet on you, yet you've unwittingly found yourself tangled in a premium rate line that starts racking up charges to your bill. Best to steer clear!

Got called today around 8 or 9 times, all saying they were from British Gas.

Honestly, either it’s a rubbish scam or the call centre involved is just terrible at phone etiquette. What a joke.
