I received a call from someone with a Liverpool accent inquiring about an accident I supposedly had with my car. Quite puzzling, as I don’t own a vehicle! When I mentioned this, she then asked if I had been a passenger, to which I replied in the negative. Immediately, I started to wonder if this was all some sort of scam. Someone rang saying they were from my insurance claims team, following up on some damage I supposedly reported ages ago. When I told them I never made any claim, they asked if I was covered under someone else’s policy who had. Got a call from someone saying they were from the Client Aftercare Company, wanting to discuss my accident.
