My answering app (should I answer?) just sends it to voicemail straight away, and all I catch is some busy office noise with someone tapping a pen and a lot of sighing like they’re waiting for me to say something. Had a ring from this number around 10.35 this morning. Sounded like a call centre with all the background chatter. A friendly young woman was clearly reading off a script. The usual spiel about a budget to help improve energy efficiency at my place. Complete rubbish, told her nicely I wasn’t interested.

When I asked where their showroom was, the bloke got a bit dodgy and said someone would have to come round to my place to show me options. Total rubbish. I've blocked the number now.

They kept asking how old my windows were and once I said over 10 years, they launched into a long talk about new laws requiring qualifying houses to replace their doors and windows. They even claimed that if you want to sell your place, youd need a certificate proving your windows save energy. Honestly, just ignore and block this number!

This is a business using a diverted number. I think they're located somewhere in England, definitely not Scotland. From what I've heard, there's new rules to protect homeowners. The easiest way to handle their calls is just to tell them you’re with a council tenancy. They’ll take your number off their list straight away.
