i looked up the company and found it’s utilita. they’re a mid-sized energy provider focusing on pay-as-you-go smart meters. started in 2003, utilita now serves around 600,000 customers, and apparently a lot of them joined thanks to recommendations. if u ring them back, u can ask to be removed from their call list.

Got a text from a Manchester number saying something like ‘(indecipherable) called you today, it's nothing to worry about, we will call you again. thanks’ - sounds like a scam to me. I’ve just blocked the number and I’m not bothered to find out any more!
