Last week I got caught up in one of those fake competition scams. Since then, I’ve had calls from Scottish Power, EDF, and now another lot, all saying they got my info from that contest I took part in. When I told them it was a scam and I never meant to hand my details to energy providers - I thought I was signing up for something with Legoland - they didn’t seem bothered. I’ve reported the whole thing to Ofgem. Why are utility firms allowed to nab info from dodgy competitions and then cold call people? It’s properly frustrating!

Number 0141 280 8631 has rung me twice today, and it's just gone 1.38pm. Left a message but the start was impossible to understand, then just something about it not being important and they will ring again. Been getting calls from this number about 10 times in the last few weeks. Bit annoying!

? 0141 280 8631? Sunday 17/06/2018 I didn’t bother looking at my phone all day Sunday. 0141 280 8631? Wednesday 20/06/2018 Same number called me again on Wednesday, so I just blocked it. 0141 280 8514? Friday 22/06/2018 Then on Friday they switched to a different number to ring me. All three calls left voicemails on my mobile. The start of the message is completely unclear? Then it says something like, it’s not important, we’ll try again later. And that gets repeated? Honestly, they say privacy matters but our numbers are just being sold to whoever wants ‘em.

They keep ringing non stop about smart meters and energy deals. Blocking one number doesnt help as they use loads of different ones. 0121-736-0363 is one of their numbers, Ive blocked others from them already. The firm seems to be called Utilia or summat like that.
