Loads of dodgy calls lately, so when the phone rang again, I picked up and just told them straight up I wasn’t falling for it and they can jog on because I’m passing their number to the cops.

Got a call like this recently and the best thing i done was just keep cutting them off asking who they were and to prove they were really from the tax office. Tell them to give you the last three digits of your national insurance number since they should have it right there if they’re legit. Funny how they quickly put the phone down when you do that!

These folks have rung me up twice now, asking for some solicitor’s number. Ive been retired for nearly 2 years, so no idea why they keep calling my landline. I never answer or call them back, just hang up when they ring. Honestly, it's just annoying and feels like pure harassment. Doesn't bother me one bit though.

Got a really odd call from some automated voice pretending to be the tax office. It sounded pretty intimidating, kept saying I had to ring them back and not ignore the message.

Got a call moments ago claiming I’m about to get a court summons from HMRC because I apparently missed a call back in December. It didn’t sit right with me since I’m on PAYE and thought HMRC would’ve sent a letter first. They kept pressing for personal details, but when I said I’d contact HMRC directly to verify, they turned aggressive, saying the summons would be sent out today. Then as I asked for their name, they just cut me off!
