So I picked up a call the other day and all I got was silence at first. I said hello a few times, then a woman finally spoke and said my name. I replied that I was there, and she mentioned "I'm PC..." something, but I couldn’t catch the last bit. After that, she stopped talking altogether. I was waiting for her to say why she was ringing, but there was nothing but quiet. I said hello again a few times before hanging up. Then, she rang me back three times within like five minutes. This sort of thing has been happening to me a few times every week for ages now.

Today, Sunday 28th May at about 7:12, I got a call from 0141 278 4200. My phone rang three times then stopped before I could pick up. I called the number back and someone said Police Scotland wanted to speak with me and told me to ring 101 for help. When I did that, they connected me straight to Police Scotland who asked me some routine questions and said that 0141 278 4200 isn’t a Police Scotland number and they couldn’t provide any info on it.

Got a call from this number at 4AM on 17/03/2017, no one said a word when I answered. I did a 1471 and rang the number back using my mobile. The person said “the police tried to get in touch with me, call 10°” which made no sense at all.

Yep, that was totally Police Scotland calling me earlier. They told me my dad had been in a car crash. I received a missed call from this particular number, and there was a voicemail left behind. It turned out to be from Pollok Police Station in Glasgow. They don’t take calls directly, so you need to ring 101 to get in touch. Apparently, I’m a witness to an assault, and an officer was attempting to reach me for a statement.
