Received a call from this number claiming to represent Sky TV. I'm already signed up for the marketing preference scheme, so I'll be lodging a complaint if this occurs again!

This chap didn’t reveal his identity but mentioned he was looking for “Mrs Clark” and later referred to a “Jean Clark.” I wonder if he’s connected to me in any way? I've received a few identical calls from anonymous numbers. Some of them are inquiring about residents at different addresses on my road. When we returned the call, those on the other end informed us they’re involved in mail redirection services. It appears they acquired our number through the electoral roll. We are on the Telephone Preference Service list and intend to raise this matter with them shortly.

Day in and day out, we seem to be getting calls at the same time, with these folks inquiring about all sorts of things. I’ve only had my number for about three weeks, so I’m quite curious to find out how they got hold of it. I’ll definitely be flagging this up!

I recently received a call from this number but didn’t pick up. I decided to ring them back, using the 141 withheld option. A Scottish gentleman answered and asked if I could provide a reference number for my response. I tried to investigate who they might be, but the moment I mentioned anything, they hung up on me. It’s utterly infuriating dealing with these daft numbers!

We just received a call from someone claiming to be an Irish gent searching for Keira Knightley. I kindly informed him he had dialled the wrong number, and then he abruptly hung up. Quite an odd call, to be honest!

A chap from Scotland rang up, claiming he was trying to hunt down some chap named Mr X. We let him know we didn’t have the foggiest who that was, and just like that, he hung up. It’s quite puzzling, to be honest, how he got hold of my number, since I’m not in any directories and have been with the Telephone Preference Service for ages. Should they ring again, we’ll be sure to make a report.

We're becoming quite fed up with these ridiculous calls we're getting. We haven’t a clue who these individuals are, yet they insist on bombarding us with intrusive questions!

I received one of those strange calls earlier today while I was investigating a supposed neighbour. I didn’t divulge any personal details to them. Afterward, I did a bit of digging. Turns out the number beginning with 01412 is linked to Glasgow. So, I decided to return the call, masking my number with 141 first. When a gent answered, he identified his company as a credit management firm and promptly hung up once he understood the nature of my call. Quite the curious experience!

A chap from Scotland rang me up and said he was trying to locate a certain Mr X. I told him I didn’t have a clue who that was, and he hung up rather abruptly. It’s quite puzzling how he even got hold of my number, considering I'm not listed anywhere, and have been on the Telephone Preference Service for ages. If he decides to give me another bell, I’ll definitely be reporting it.

Recently, we received a call from a chap with a Scottish accent who was on the hunt for someone named Mr. Rench. We let him know he'd got the wrong number. Not long after, he started asking for more details about where we live. We weren’t having any of it and made it clear we didn’t recognise the name. He claimed he was trying to be helpful by updating their records and pressed us for the first line of our address. At that point, we decided to end the conversation. He mentioned he was affiliated with some sort of credit agency, which felt a bit off, especially in light of what others have said here. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

I received a total of four calls from this number, yet not a single soul on the other end uttered a word. It appears that the number is associated with a business, specifically Credit Management, located at 21 Tyndrum Road, Glasgow G4 0JY. Their contact number is 0141 272 1105, with the fax being 0141 272 1666. Interestingly, I've dialled their office ten times in a row without any response. I can't help but wonder if they enjoy this sort of silent treatment. Perhaps you should give it a go yourself!

I've encountered a remarkably similar situation. Received several calls, many of which were from withheld numbers-something we never engage with (typically those pesky Asian call centres). Then, out of the blue, I received a call asking for Mr X. We promptly informed them they had dialled the wrong number, at which point they began probing for additional address details, so we decided to end the conversation. Interestingly, my partner got a call a couple of weeks later searching for Mrs X - same name, and considering a woman answered, it seemed straightforward. Again, they attempted to gather personal information. While they were rather polite, we can't help but suspect it’s just another iteration of a scam.

I've been bombarded with calls every single day this past week, trying to track down my husband who's off on work commitments. It’s a relief to have answered, but my gut tells me it’s nothing but a dodgy scheme aimed at extracting details for old debts. Given my recent run-ins with companies like Thames Credit and Go Debt - I filed harassment complaints with the OFT not long ago - I’ve become pretty savvy about the underhanded tactics these firms deploy. Just a word of caution to everyone: don’t divulge any personal information to them! It’s crucial they establish your identity, not the other way around!

We've received an oddly similar message that says "seeking someone for whom I've received a letter." It has us quite concerned, to be honest, as we're worried it might be related to some sort of credit check. The thought of being blacklisted by these folks has us feeling rather uneasy!

I've installed Caller ID because I simply couldn’t bear the relentless calls from all sorts of companies. When a number comes up that I don’t recognise, I let it ring. If no message is left, I usually have a quick search online to see who it might be. So here I am, looking up this particular number. It definitely seems like it’s linked to something that warrants attention.

I’ve received calls from this number at least six times now, all at remarkably similar times in the morning. Each time, a Scottish lass is on the other end asking for Mr N. We’ve told her every single time that he’s not home as he's at work and won’t be back until just after six in the evening. She always apologises and then promptly hangs up. Earlier today, we felt rather fed up and told her we were tired of repeating ourselves and requested that she stop calling at this hour. Who on earth is she, where is Mr N, and what on earth does she want?

We received a call from a woman with a Scottish accent who inquired about someone named Joanne Bailey and wanted to know if we were familiar with that name. We didn't engage further in conversation. After the call, we dialled 1471 to trace the number. The caller didn’t identify themselves before ending the call. We decided to hang up as well.

Each day, we receive calls from this number, but we seldom pick up calls from such digits. After reading what others have said, I'm rather pleased that we've chosen not to engage.

Earlier today, we received a call from one of those pesky ringers while staying at a different place. We said no, but lo and behold, just five minutes later, the exact same woman phoned us again. She insisted on revealing her identity but claimed she had a letter for us and asked if we could confirm our date of birth. Well, she was given a piece of our mind instead!

I was definitely on a bit of a quest! Received a call from this number and I was trying to get in touch with a Mr Khan. We had a brief chat, but then the caller asked for their full name again. With all the racket around me, I didn’t catch it clearly, but I just nodded along. Then things took a turn when they asked me to confirm an address linked to one of my relatives, a Mr X Khan. When I said no, just like that, they cut the line! Quite the interesting turn of events, I must say!

I received a call from this number and it got me wondering if one of our old neighbours is still residing there. I ended up telling them to stay out of my affairs. They came across as a bit of a sleuth, to be honest. I've had some experience with these kinds of firms before when we've tried to track down individuals who owe us debts. They often employ such sneaky tactics to locate people. I'm a bit uncertain about how to interpret this whole situation, really.
