They called me saying they were from HMRC, I asked a few questions to check them out and when I told them they were proper scammers, they just ended the call.

Got a call on my mobile from someone claiming I could get a tax refund. The accent didn’t sound like it was from around here. I’m not even on any tax records! I’m retired and they stuck me on hold for ages. Just a heads up to other pensioners - hang up right away and make sure to tell HMRC about it.

Somebody was ringin me up, sounding like they were gonna try and scam me out of my personal info for some tax dodging scheme or something.

They kept ringing me a few times, but when I tried calling back, the line just dropped. Pretty sure it was some sort of sales call.
