Got a call from someone saying they were from Talk Talk, wanted to sort out sending me a new router. But as soon as I started asking questions, they just hung up on me. Bit dodgy if you ask me.

Someone phoned me saying they were from TalkTalk, mentioning my router had apparently been sending error signals recently. They asked me to look at the lights on my router to see how many were blinking or steady. The woman on the line had an accent and there was quite a lag, which made me suspicious. Then she told me to turn on my computer, which seemed odd, so I just ended the call and blocked the number straight away. I’m pretty sure they’ll try again from different numbers soon. They’ve clearly realised that if they hide their caller ID, people are less likely to pick up.
