Persistent bothersome calls that just won’t stop!

I wouldn't take this caller at their word. They claimed to represent a debt consolidation company and were eager to inform me about a government-backed initiative that supposedly could wipe out a good chunk of my unsecured debts. However, the unfortunate reality is that I don't even have any debts to begin with!

My phone showed a warning and automatically blocked a call I missed earlier.

Honestly, I don’t care what your name is, Ashraf, Abdul, or whatever - just quit ringing me about your loans. I’m not interested at all, so please, enough already!

I have autism and living in poverty in the UK is tough enough without all these spam calls pretending to help. They really don’t make things any easier, just more frustrating.

Got a call from someone claiming to sort out debts with an IVA, but it felt like a total scam. Be careful!

I keep getting bothered by debt consolidation companies trying to push me into a loan I definitely don’t want. Feels like a complete rip-off. Like other folks have said, it's best to report them to the authorities.

I’m pretty sure they picked up my phone number from New Horizons Loans. I was investigating some loan options and handed over my details, but since then, they just keep ringing me non-stop. It’s like they’re targeting people going through tough patches. When I say no or block them, that should be the end of it - not getting calls every single day from loads of different numbers!

They claim to be from Scotland but honestly, sounds more like they’re ringing from India or somewhere in London to me. Total nonsense!

Honestly, I wish they’d all just be sent back to wherever they came from - maybe even with Priti Patel to keep them company for a good twenty years! Got a spam call from them, and yeah, the Asian accent gave it away straight away.

In just three days, they’ve called me five times! I picked up at last and some bloke with an Indian accent was asking for “Mrs Smith?” I said “Yes?” and he just stayed quiet, no response at all, then suddenly cut the call. I’ve since blocked that number but now I’m getting annoying calls from a different one. What a pain!

Got a call from someone pushing an IVA, saying it’s the answer to sort out debt issues. Definitely felt like a scam to me.

Beware of these debt consolidation cons. They promise to lower your debts by offering a 0% interest loan, but it’s all a trick. Just hang up and block them straight away. Don’t get caught out!

I seriously doubt the bloke who rang me earlier was actually in Scotland. Every voice I heard in the background sounded Indian. I get that scamming is a way some folks in India try to make a living, especially with so many struggling, but surely there’s a better alternative. Calling me repeatedly, like 50 times a month and then just hanging up, can’t be earning you much cash. It just feels like a massive waste of everyone's time. Honestly, I wish for peace all around and hope these calls would stop.

These debt collectors just won't give up. Every time I block one number, another pop ups calling me. It's really annoying and just not on. Proper disgraceful behaviour.

I didn’t pick up and just blocked the number straight away. Then it called me like 5 more times, all of which I blocked too! Definitely a scam.

The caller actually knew my name and said I was chosen for some "government scheme to clear my debt at 0% interest." Pretty sure it was just a scam, so whatever you do, don’t share any details!

Answered the call but they just hung up straight away, so I ended up blocking the number.

I didn’t pick up at first, but I rang them back and got a message saying the helpline was dead. They had options like 1 for sales, 2 for something else, and 3 to opt out. Honestly, it’s better to just reject the call altogether.

Got a dodgy call from a debt collector, which is rather puzzling since I don't owe a penny! Clearly some sort of scam at play here.

I received a rather perplexing call just a short while ago from someone discussing debts, and to be honest, I'm utterly baffled by it all. I’ve tried ringing the number back, but to no avail-it just won’t connect. Quite frustrating, really!

I’m not in the least bit in debt, so these absolute chancers can take a hike. They keep pestering me for information about phantom loan repayments I’ve never even taken out. I’ve blocked their number, yet they still keep ringing - it’s utterly infuriating! It makes me so frustrated that phone providers and authorities seem to do nothing to tackle these crooks. Honestly, I wonder how your parents feel about your shady antics, wherever you are!

I received a call from this number today, which I've now blocked. It's becoming quite tiresome as I’m getting two calls a day from this lot. They keep switching up the number they’re pretending to use every single day. Definitely a scam, so I suggest blocking them immediately!

With the recent hikes in fuel and energy prices, coupled with those dreadful lockdowns, I've found myself slipping into a bit of debt. So, I took a chance and filled in my information on newhorizons.co.uk in the hope they could provide some assistance. In the end, I chose not to proceed with them, but ever since then, I’ve been absolutely bombarded with calls from every Tom, Dick, and Harry under the sun! It’s like I've got a target sign on my back. For crying out loud, would they kindly buzz off? These relentless callers are nothing short of parasitic!
