I recently got a quote for insurance from Compare the Market, and I made a point of ticking the box to opt out of receiving phone calls. However, to my dismay, I started receiving calls anyway! It’s rather frustrating when you clearly indicate your preferences, yet they still reach out.

I absolutely ticked the option that clearly indicated I did NOT wish to receive any form of contact-be it by phone, text, email, or even a good old-fashioned letter. I was simply inquiring about some services for a business, and when prompted for a contact number, it didn't seem to recognise either of the firm's landline numbers. As a result, I was left with no choice but to input my own personal mobile number just to proceed. I made it abundantly clear that I did NOT want any calls or messages on my personal device. Quite frustrated by the whole affair!
