I keep getting calls from scammers using a number that used to belong to someone else. Even though I've blocked them on my Truecall device, they haven’t stopped trying to contact me. Since 8th May 2026, they’ve attempted about 10 times, with the most recent being today, 24th June 2026. Before this, they were using a Leeds number 01133508520, and it looks like the same lot because those calls came through around 25 times!

Watch out, these lot are proper persistent about debts from more than 25 years ago, even if they never really existed. They send texts, ring constantly, send letters, and even turn up at your door - totally relentless. I changed my name over 40 years back, yet they keep going after me under the old one! Just don’t bother with these scammers - block them and move on.

Got an email using my dad’s name about setting up a house visit, so I rang to find out what was going on. They wouldn’t give me any details, so I mentioned that my dad passed away back in January 2019, thinking they’d stop bothering. Still, they stayed quiet on the reason but did say sorry and that the case was closed. It’s odd really, since all the legal stuff around my dad was sorted by solicitors. Just don’t get what that was all about.

Got an email saying I owe money from resolvecall.com. I looked up the number they gave (01412128500) on this site and honestly, it's unbelievable. They threatened to come to my home, but that’s not happening. After a terrible attack nearly took my life, I no longer feel safe with visitors. If I get shocked or threatened, I just shut down - I stay awake but can’t remember a thing afterwards and end up putting up a fight.

Got a call from resolvecall.com claiming to be debt collectors, said they were setting up a home visit. Kinda odd, since I've only just moved here. They got my name spot on, but the reference code they gave me meant nothing to me at all. Definitely not any debts or late payments on my end, so it left me scratching my head. Got a call about some debt from back in 2010, which I honestly have no clue about. When he asked how I wanted to settle, I joked I’d pay with monopoly money. The bloke got a bit annoyed then I told him to just take me to court, but I doubt they can after 15 years. I only moved into this place in 2021, so how could this debt be mine? Got an email from these lot asking me to ring them back on this 0141 number. I came across a letter on their website from some debt collectors claiming they’d handed my account over to resolvecall. Never heard of them before. Looks a bit dodgy to me, like some kind of scam. I’ve emailed them a cease and desist notice just in case.

Got calls from Resolve Call about a debt they claim I owe, but the account was closed like 15 years ago. First I got some letters, then they even came to my house while I wasn’t home, and now they’re ringing me up. Answered once but kept quiet. When I figured out what it was, I just ended the call straight away.

Loads of emails popped up from this firm saying I owed TalkTalk money, so last Friday I rang TalkTalk as I used to have a joint account with a relative. They told me the account was shut down and there wasn’t any money owed. Still, I got another email this morning from PayResolve. Feels like they've nicked my details from some sort of TalkTalk security breach and are trying to con money out of me. Total scam artists, best to report and block them quick!

What a load of rubbish. They're hassling me about a debt that's over two decades old. Even if this debt was real, it would be legally unenforceable by now. Best to just give them the cold shoulder!

They got in touch about some old debt from like 22 years back. I got some letters but just didn’t bother with them, then they ring me at home. I asked who they were after, but they couldn’t give me a straight answer. They wanted me to say who lives here, which felt dodgy because they’re the ones calling and don’t even know names or DOB. Then I looked them up and saw loads of bad reviews. They keep ringing, but I’ve just blocked them now. Watch out, they’re only after debts that should be statute barred. Just ignore 'em!

I got a call about a debt from more than 20 years back, they also sent letters that I just ignored. When they rang me at home, I asked who they were looking for but they couldn’t give me a straight answer. They wanted me to say who lives here but I told them they’re the ones calling and don’t even know the name or birthdate. Seemed really dodgy to me. After I checked online and saw loads of bad reviews, I decided to block their number. Watch out, they’re probably chasing debts that are way past the legal time limit. Just don’t bother with them.

I've been getting loads of calls, texts, emails and even letters, all threatening with court stuff and visits to my house. I definitely don’t owe anything, but the company’s name and the amount they say I owe keeps switching up! I’ve sent off cease and desist notices and saved every message they’ve sent me. This is the fourth voicemail I've gotten now for someone called Tracey Robinson - no clue who that is! They want her to ring back about some reference number. Weird thing is, the number doesn’t show up in either my recent calls or voicemails, so I can’t even block it. I haven’t bothered calling it back either.

For the past four years, this firm has constantly bothered me. They invented a fake identity and keep ringing or texting me about a debt that doesn’t even exist. The numbers keep changing, but today they used 0141 212 8500. I got an automated voice message from them urging me to call back straight away. If you get calls like this, seriously, block the number and report it - don’t engage with them!

I selected option 2 since the caller ID was unfamiliar, then it told me to hold on while they tried to put me through to an operator, but I just ended the call. Tried blocking the number through 1572, but BT says it doesn’t recognise it! Sounds dodgy, like a possible scam to me.

Loads of these calls have been coming through to me lately, and now they’ve started sending letters claiming I owe £1959.77 to Shop Direct. They say if I don’t ring them back, they’ll be sending someone round to my place.

Sounds like a scam to me, i didn’t pick up but from what others say it’s better to ignore. If you do answer, don’t share any info, just tell them to stop calling. Also try and block the number if possible.

Got a text followed by a voicemail asking me to urgently get in touch. But it wasn’t meant for me - they were trying to reach someone named Anthony!!! No details on why, just a quote ref and a phone number to ring. Not sure if it’s an honest mistake or a dodgy scam, but if they don’t stop, I’m definitely reporting it.

I phoned them to ask what exactly they’re after, and they told me they’re legally pursuing a ‘debt’ that’s more than 20 years old?! The woman said she’d note down that I’ve disputed it and that they won’t bother me anymore……
