Got a call from someone claiming to be working for HMRC saying they were checking the company’s tax situation and offering advice. They made it sound pretty urgent and asked to talk to one of the directors. When I asked for more info so I could ring them back, they wouldn’t give any. They said they had a personal email but still wanted to speak directly as a ‘courtesy’. Told them to just send over an email with their contact info and said if the director wanted to talk, they’d get back to her. The name they gave was Leyton Group - feels dodgy, probably a scam.
