I noticed a couple of charges of 39 pence each on my bill, coinciding with my switch from BT's ADSL broadband to their fibre service. I suspect these may have originated from some kind of Openreach test number. This particular number is the testing line for Openreach. It’s used by BT engineers to assess the connections. It’s quite absurd that there’s a fee attached to it. I reckon BT ought to offer a refund for this charge!

STEER CLEAR of this number! It's a complete con, and honestly, BT should really step up and tackle these issues. The so-called BT preference scheme doesn’t seem to be doing much, does it?
