The phone rang momentarily before cutting off, around 11:45 in the morning on the 30th of September, 2015. This call came through on my mobile- a number I’ve exclusively shared with my GP and dental practice for appointment reminders, my child’s school, along with a handful of close friends and family. In total, only about 20 to 25 people have access to it. My guess is that these unsolicited calls are the result of some automated system, dialling multiple numbers simultaneously and disconnecting the rest once one is answered. I was under the impression this practice had been outlawed in the UK, prompting them to move their operations overseas in a bid to sidestep our regulations.
