I've had a couple of missed calls over the past two days, and I suspect it's just another dodgy scammer on the other end.

Hi there! I received a call from this number, where a woman claimed to be representing O2. She mentioned that I could enjoy a 40% discount on my current O2 mobile bill. Can you believe it? I don't even have an account with O2! I've already flagged this fraudulent activity to the police! What a nuisance!

I honestly have no idea why someone from Golspie decided to ring me out of the blue like this?!? So strange!

Just got two calls in a row on my phone in a matter of seconds, totally feels like a scam. That’s exactly why I don’t allow incoming calls through anymore - I just block them right away. Even so, their numbers still pop up on my screen. Definitely watch out for this kind of thing!

I got a call from someone claiming to be with O2, told me I could get 30% off my contract for a year. They said since my direct debit would go down, they needed my card info. Sounded dodgy to me so I just told them to buzz off. Total scam, they’re a right bunch of ####.

I keep getting a couple of scam calls every day, always from different numbers.

I usually just ignore calls from numbers I don’t recognise. After seeing all these stories, I’m even happier I don’t pick up. What a load of scammers! Going straight to block for me.

“The latest iPhone 14 Pro? I’ve got one already.” “But wait, I can still get you an iPhone 14 Pro...” “I just told you, I already bought one.” He kept going round the same loop, didn’t really get the hint. Definitely not the sharpest con out there!

Got a call from a polite woman with an Indian accent claiming she could slash 40% off my EE bill. I joked that she could just take £1000 off my card as a tip for that deal. She quickly refused to get my card details. Seems like a scam, but not the cleverest - I actually marked her as safe since she was too nervous to even ask for payment info.

Got a call from a number I didn't know, so I just let it ring out. Tried ringing back with my number hidden, but the line said it was no longer in service. Pretty sure it's one of those scams.

Mostly they just wanna make sure your number is active so they can pass it on to loads of spam callers. Thats why they never really say anything and hang up real quick.

Got a call from someone pretending to be from Currys or PC World, trying to sell me a phone on a new plan. Total nonsense, obviously a scam.

Had a call on my mobile from someone claiming to be from EE, telling me about a 40% discount on my contract. Their voice sounded American but a bit muffled. When I tried to ring back, it just gave me an automated message saying the number wasn't in service. Seems like a scam to me.

Got a call about some supposed problem with my Amazon account, but I've never even signed up for one. Watch out for this one, it's dodgy.
