It's definitely not a scam; it’s just eBay being eBay. We tried accessing our eBay account from our work computer, but since the IP address was different, eBay required us to confirm our identity. As a result, they called us on the number linked to our account to provide a verification code. We entered that code on eBay and everything fell into place for us to shop without any issues. It was completely above board. Just a heads-up - if you haven't logged into eBay from another device, it might mean someone else has!
