SCAM Alert! On Monday 10th September, I got a call from 01406 958827. It was an automated voice saying it was BT and warning that our internet would be cut off starting that day. They told me to press 1 to stop it from happening. I didn’t press anything. Later, I phoned BT myself and they confirmed it was a scam. They said ignoring it was the right move. BT also told me you can block nuisance calls by dialing 1572 and hitting option 1 right after the call starts, which stops any further calls from that number. For TalkTalk users, you can use 14258 and just follow the steps. Stay safe!
