I picked up thinking it was my mate's number calling but instead it was a recorded voice saying my internet was about to be cut off. It kept telling me to press different buttons for this or that. I just hung up straight away, didn’t want to risk chatting with a con artist or getting stuck on some expensive line. The number had a local area code from Goole - that’s in Yorkshire, right? Definitely not a place where these dodgy scammers are normally based.
