10 yearsI've been inundated with nuisance calls purporting to be from a so-called 'car legal services company.' They insist they've got some information regarding an accident either I’ve been involved in or have allegedly been involved in. Naturally, they’re angling to rope me into some compensation claim nonsense. Over the past three weeks, I’ve received calls from all corners of the UK, including places like Goole, Machynlleth, Peterhead, Thurso, Merthyr Tydfil, Yeovil, Strathy, Manchester (four times!), Leeds, and likely even more. This is merely a snapshot of what’s on my phone! Just today, I stood my ground and informed one such caller that he had no right to ring those of us who've opted out of these blimmin' lists, and you wouldn’t believe the tirade of abuse that followed! He branded me a 'squawking cow' and spat that he could contact whomever he wished, before making baseless claims that I'd supposedly lodged a false claim on a so-called date (which I hadn’t). It’s painfully clear that the outfit behind this racket is operating outside the law, and I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s just one dodgy business at the heart of it all. The names I’ve noted so far are 'Car Legal Services' and 'Ten Ten Legal Services.'
