Keep getting this annoying number ringing but then it just hangs up. When I let it go to voicemail, there’s nothing left. Proper irritating! My phone’s flagged it as a SCAM now.

No doubt it's a scam. They called and it went straight to voicemail but there was nothing said. I reckon when they dial and listen before hanging up, they’re just ticking off who’s got a live phone. Don't bother calling them back, they use that to confirm the number is real for their dodgy scams.

So the phone keeps ringing, you pick up but no one’s there, they just hang up. Then it rings a second time, I don’t even pick up, just decline it straight away and next thing, a mobile phone rings. I reject that one as well, then another number calls me straight after. This just keeps happening, like 6 or 7 times in a row with loads of different landline and mobile numbers. Ended up blocking every single one of them.

I picked up the call but there was nothing on the other end, just dead silence.

Picked up the phone and all I could hear was a bunch of noise, like people chatting in an office or something, but no one actually talked to me.

All I heard was quiet for a bit, then suddenly some chatter from a call centre, and then they just ended the call.

Got a call from someone claiming they represented York City Council about fixing stuff, saying they’d sort out any repairs I mentioned and that the council would foot the bill. I’m going to ring my local council tomorrow to verify this and I’ll update here with what I find out.

I got a call from some Energy Advisory lot asking about when I last had my loft insulation checked. Seemed kinda fishy to me, like one of those dodgy scams.
