So, I was chatting to someone about this accident I pretended to have, just making it all up really. My daughter overheard and found it hilarious, then decided she wanted to join in on the fun. She ended up calling the number back and in the fanciest accent asked for the man’s full name and birthdate - which he actually gave her! We were both cracking up so much we could barely breathe.

Most times, they kick off by saying they've been told I was in some sort of crash with a car that's in my name, claiming the road traffic accident folks put them onto it. I always ask them how they found that out and what exactly happened in the accident. Sometimes they give a bit more detail, but often they just keep saying they've been told by the RTA department.

all week long i keep gettin calls from loads of companies claiming they got info from some road accident department sayin i had a crash, which is complete rubbish. just got yet another ring from a number almost the same, about the same nonsense. these annoying cold calls need to be banned. i told them to take my details off their calling lists, but it doesnt seem to help.

Got this company ringing me a couple of times now asking if I've been in an accident that wasn’t my fault? It’s some sort of automated message. Just ignoring it.
