So, this number 01404548338 rang me around mid-afternoon on 1st April 2019. Some guy with an Asian accent started talking about an issue with BT internet. Then suddenly, a woman with an English accent cut in saying “ello”, which was a bit odd. We ended up just hanging up. When I checked my phone’s call history later, I noticed another call from earlier that day showing as “international, out of area” but no actual number was listed. Strange stuff.

I got a call from 01404-548338 on my landline earlier today but the moment I picked up, they just cut off. Had heard some others had proper chats with the same number though. Could be one of those scam or annoying calls, watch out.

Got a call from someone saying they were with BT, telling me there were some strange problems with my broadband. I asked if it was a scam and he said he was legit and just trying to assist. Then he started shouting, so I asked him to calm down and stop yelling. He just hung up on me. Pretty certain it wasn’t actually BT. As I was typing this message, they phoned again from 01256 736208. When I mentioned the previous call, the guy hung up straight away!

I just got a call from 01404548338 and they ring me twice in like 5 minutes! The first time I picked up and they just hung up on me straight away. Then they called back, said they were from BT or something, but I wasn’t having it and ended the call quick. Weird behaviour if you ask me.

Somebody said they were from BT Openreach and told me there was a problem with my internet. When I asked a few questions, they just ended the call straight away.

Somebody rang up pretending to be from BT Openreach, said there was a big issue with our internet. They asked me to log onto my computer so they could 'help' through some sort of screen-sharing site. Sounded dodgy to me.
