Keeps ringing incessantly before cutting off, I attempted to ring them back, yet the call won't connect. My smartphone appears to have barred the number altogether.

I received a call from this number claiming my mobile was eligible for an upgrade. As I was already aware that my contract was up, I went along with it. My new phone arrived, and after swapping in the new SIM card, I was informed that my number would transfer over within a couple of days. To my utter disbelief, I’ve discovered that I’ve been switched to a different network provider, and they’re demanding £500 for me to terminate the contract! Alternatively, I have to fork out an exit fee to my current provider just to break free. It’s absolutely scandalous!
