Keeps calling over and over then just cuts off. I tried calling back but it won’t connect. My phone automatically blocked the number.

I got a call from this number saying it was time to upgrade my mobile, which I thought was legit because my contract was ending soon. So I went along with it. When my new phone arrived, I inserted the new SIM card and was told my number would switch over within a day or two. But now I find out I’m actually tied up with a different network that’s demanding £500 to cancel the contract. Plus, my old provider wants an exit fee if I try to leave. Feels like I've been completely scammed.
