Received a dodgy call claiming to be my bank about suspicious payments of £300 from some unknown place and £1000 supposedly from Amazon. The number was from a local code. This happened about an hour after I missed a call from 01664857521 which left no voicemail. When I looked up that number, others had flagged the same scam story, so I reckon they’re linked. My bank has since confirmed it’s a con. It’s so frustrating, especially since I’m on their fraud prevention list.
