Heads up! I got a voicemail about my Amazon subscription renewal, then when I called back, some guy with an Indian accent told me loads of accounts had been opened using my name. I wasn’t sure if it was really Amazon calling so I asked for the names of these supposed accounts. He gave me a random English name, then when I pushed for more, he just hung up on me. Earlier, he was trying to get me to log onto my laptop to “change settings” which really freaked me out. Be careful out there!

Heads up!!! I got a recorded call about some Amazon subscription renewal, then I spoke to a bloke with an Indian accent. He told me there were loads of accounts opened under my name. When I asked if this was really Amazon, he said they had called me, but I was suspicious. I asked for the names of these accounts, he gave me a random English sounding name. When I pressed for more names, he abruptly hung up. Before that, he was trying to convince me to get on my laptop to 'change settings' which honestly freaked me out. Watch out, people!

At first, I got a phone call from a number based in Manchester. Then, the call got transferred and I ended up talking to a woman from India. I wasn’t in the mood to waste my time, so I just started chatting in a different language since I’m pretty fluent in one. She kept trying to ask her questions but quickly saw it was useless and just ended the call.

I just let them run their spiel, pretending to be interested, then I switch it up with my own tale: "Oh yeah, I recall the crash alright. I was in such a rush to get to work, but the whole time I felt like I'd left something behind, proper distracted. Driving along the motorway and all I could think was 'I’ve forgotten something… I’ve forgotten something'. I was speeding, no doubt, cos I was running late, darting past cars, and still that nagging thought wouldn’t leave me. Then, just moments before the crash, bang - it hit me. Finally remembered what it was I'd left behind."
