I think it was PayPal, cos I’d been on their website and they mentioned they’d give me a call. The phone didn’t actually go through, so I just saw a missed call.

Absolutely PayPal! We bought an item online and then these folks called us about an hour later to confirm that the transaction was all above board.

I can confirm that this number is linked to PayPal, as it’s the one used by our son when he was in the process of verifying his PayPal account.

I'm fairly certain that this number belongs to PayPal. When I initiated a transfer to another account, the screen presented me with choices for a call-back-either straight away or in a minute or so. Upon picking up the phone, I encountered silence at first, but then it connected to an automated system. I was prompted to input the number that popped up on my screen and to verify that the transaction was indeed legitimate prior to it being completed.

Earlier today, we received a call from this number but opted not to answer it at the time. After some deliberation, we decided to return the call. It appears to be connected to PayPal, as we also received an email around the same time informing us that there was an attempt to breach our account. Indeed, we received a call from these individuals earlier today. They claimed to be associated with PayPal and requested our email address. Naturally, we didn’t comply and hung up the phone, as we were quite doubtful about their legitimacy. We haven’t touched our PayPal account at all today, and we’ve since updated our password for good measure.
