Got a call from this number (01400 262024) and it was a recorded message from a woman speaking with a very posh English accent. She claimed to be calling from a bank’s card department, saying there had been two charges on my card - £300 and £1000. Bit fishy how exact those amounts were! She then told me to press 1 to cancel these payments or press 2 to speak to a manager. No way I was falling for that. The area code 1400 points to Honington in Suffolk, which is quite a trek from where I live, but scammers can call from anywhere really. Definitely a scam, so I’ve blocked the number.

01400262024 - Got a voicemail from some robot voice saying they took £300 from my account plus £1100 via some international money site. I quickly logged into my online banking and thankfully everything looks normal. I’m definitely blocking this number now!
