Yesterday, I received a rather alarming call from a gentleman purporting to be from HMRC. He was quite insistent, warning me of potential legal consequences, even imprisonment, if I didn’t settle some taxes I’ve already cleared. It was clearly a scam! I’d advise steering clear of calls like these; they’re nothing but trouble.
