Got a call from someone saying they were with BT, asking about cold calls and wanting to speak to me, even though the bill isn’t under my name. When I asked a few questions, they said I was being rude. They said because they knew my address, it had to be legit, but I didn’t really say yes or no. After that, I’ve had loads of silent rings, hang ups and some nasty calls too.

I was completing what looked like an authentic form and since I'd never had to pay before, it gave me a suspicion so I cancelled the process. Then I started getting emails from what claimed to be the DVLA. I called the number, and a lady with a strong Indian accent answered. After pressing her for details, she admitted they weren’t connected to the government department I was trying to reach. I wasn’t pleased, let me tell you. Now I’m left wondering what my phone bill is gonna look like. Avoid these lot - they’re proper dodgy!
