I seem to get these nearly every month, sometimes even more. I've told them loads of times that I'm on the TPS and that what they're doing is against the law, asking them to stop calling me, but no luck. For now, I just jot down the number and report it to the TPS, then ignore the call completely. Every now and then, if I’ve got a bit of free time, I have a bit of fun messing with them on the phone.

In recent years, the rules have shifted so that people need to give their permission upfront, instead of having to say no afterwards, but sadly this isn't always followed properly. It's a good idea to really look closely at any contract you agree to with outside companies and make sure to say no to any parts you're not happy with.
