Yesterday, this number rang me but my phone's spam filter stopped the call since I don't normally answer unknown numbers. Curiosity got the better of me so I phoned back later this evening. A lady answered quickly with "hi advisory services" then asked for my name and number, but I didn't get to say anything before she hung up. I then searched the number and found it listed as a telemarketer. Just thought I’d share: 01398420234

Saw a missed call from this number but decided not to pick up. Earlier, another call came through from 01398 420219. It was an Asian guy who somehow knew my name. I acted like I didn’t know him, called him a #### and just hung up. Seems dodgy, probably a scam.

Got a call from a woman who didn't say anything at first, then started talking in a language I couldn't recognise. The number looked like it was from the UK, but the operator showed South Africa. Feels like it could be a scam.

That crackly sound at the start was a dead giveaway it was one of them Asian call centres. Not shocked really, and it ended up being another one of those home energy scams.
