I received a call from someone claiming to be from the Microsoft tech support team, insisting there were problems with my broadband and laptop. Then, a woman contacted me, attempting to gain remote access to my computer. It’s clearly a scam!

So a woman rang me saying there was a virus on my windows laptop IP address. I told her I wouldn’t be near my laptop until the next day and asked her to tell me which IP address was affected so I’d be ready when she called back. She tried to say she’d give me the info tomorrow, but I insisted I needed it now to identify the problem. After that, she fell silent, couldn’t answer, and just hung up. Pretty clear that was a scam.

Got a call from a woman with an accent saying there was an issue with my PC. I just asked if she believed in God and then she hung up straight away!

Some foreign bloke rang up claiming he was from Microsoft saying my computer was having problems. I let him fiddle about for a good few minutes before telling him I don't even own a computer or use Windows, never have actually. He got proper annoyed then, calling me a time waster. Definitely sounds like a scam to take over your PC, so watch out for these dodgy calls.

Somebody rang me saying they were from Microsoft and that my computer had problems. I told them I didn’t have my PC nearby, then they just went “right, bye” and ended the call. Seemed fishy to me, so I blocked the number straight away.

Some dodgy 'computer expert' called me, trying to scam me. I wasted a bit of his time and sat through all the nonsense he was going on about. Total rubbish!
