Got a call around 10 in the morning from a lady, who didn’t sound Scottish, saying there was some issue with my computer. She warned my internet would get cut off later that day and a technician would chat to me if I “pressed key 1” to change my IP address. I went ahead and pressed 1, but couldn’t get back through after that. When I tried calling the number again, it wasn’t recognised. Definitely a dodgy PC scam aiming to trick people into handing over access to their computers. Seems to be linked to the number 01391792499 mentioned nearby here.
