The number showed up as local, so I picked up. It was some young bloke asking loads of questions. I just played along to figure out what he was after. He said I could get a good offer on some medical alert service as a special deal. He sounded like he had a fair bit of info about me, which made me ask where he had found my details. Right then, he just slammed the phone down. When I tried ringing back, the number wouldn’t go through. Quite suspicious if you ask me.

I got a call from what sounded like a genuine person saying something about government-paid loft insulation already put in. It felt like a recorded message, but the voice seemed real.
