Had a call from someone with a really strong Asian accent, but with a name that sounded proper English. Said they were from BT and wanted to give me three months free line rental if I just confirmed my postcode so they could send me details. The postcode they gave was completely wrong, and when I told them, they asked for the correct one. By then I’d had enough, so I was a bit cheeky and ended the call. Not even half an hour later, they rang again - pretty annoying little buggers. That’s twice I’ve had to deal with them today.

Got a call today, 8th Dec around 12:50 pm, from someone with a strong Asian accent claiming to be from BT Billing. They said I was lucky to get a 50% cut on calls as one of only 50 people picked. They mentioned sending a letter to my address to confirm and asked me to confirm my postcode ##### ###. I hung up straight away after that.

I get loads of calls from odd numbers like that too. I usually just ignore them straight away. You can tell from the way they speak or the accent who they probably are. I always jot these numbers down somewhere, keep a little list going. Would be great if our phones could just block these automatically.
