Got a call from a local Budleigh Salterton number, which caught me off guard since it’s just nearby. The voice was a woman, sounded American I think, and it was all recorded. She said there were two dodgy charges on my card, one being over £800 from abroad. The message urged me to press 1 to speak to a security advisor or contact them directly. Pretty clear scam to me so I didn’t push any buttons. Bit strange it’s coming from a local number though, wonder if the local cops should get involved? Anyway, I’ve blocked the number now.
