I got a call from someone claiming to be from BT Openreach, saying they were doing some maintenance and wanted to check if I’d had any problems with my broadband. I told them I’m not even a BT customer, so the person asked if I was with Vodafone instead. Since I’m not, I pressed them on why they’d called me at all and where they’d found my number. Before they could properly answer, the call just cut off. Definitely an unsolicited call, and since I’m not with BT, plus they wouldn’t just ring out of the blue like that, I reckon it was a scam.
