Almost fell for one of those accident scams, so glad I checked the number first.

Got a call from a woman who sounded Asian and she knew my name. She mentioned something about a car crash, but I told her I hadn’t been in any accident recently. She then guessed maybe it was someone else in my family, but I told her it’s just me and my hubby here, and neither of us had any crash. After that, she just ended the call. Blocked the number straight away.

Got a call outta nowhere asking if I’d been involved in some accident with another person. Luckily, I haven’t had any crashes recently! I just told them no and ended the call.

I’ve gotten into the routine of ignoring any calls from numbers I don’t know. Once I’ve brushed it off, I take a moment to verify whether the number is legit or just another pesky scammer or cold caller. This particular number seems to fall into that troublesome category. Best to steer clear of such calls-just let them ring and use a reverse phone lookup service to ascertain their legitimacy.

Just got a call from some company saying they can assist with "your recent car crash" - total scam alert. Best thing to do? Don't pick up, just block the number straight away.

Got a weird call about a car accident, some so-called insurance guy saying he was ringing from Manchester. Oddly, the call came from Exeter but he kept insisting he was based in Manchester. They somehow had my name and mobile number which was creepy. The accent sounded proper English but definitely seemed dodgy, like a scam. Definitely felt like a fake setup.

I just let it ring, no answer from me. If it really matters, they’d leave a voicemail, right? Still, sometimes you get tricked into picking up thinking it’s urgent. Honestly, these calls need to stop already!

I didn't answer the call since there was no voicemail left, so I've just blocked the number.

The mention of the car crash is spot on. As soon as it’s brought up, there’s no need to drag things out anymore. Seriously, do folks still buy into this rubbish?

Somebody rang me up saying I’d been in a car crash recently and that I was due some cash. I told them I hadn’t had any accident at all, and then they quickly said sorry, must’ve dialled the wrong number. But the weird thing is they knew my first name! It felt dodgy to me, and they didn’t sound like they were from around here either. Just a heads up, I wouldn’t bother chatting to these lot.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with Auto Assist, asking about an accident I supposedly had recently and wanted info on the damage. He couldn’t really explain why he needed those details, so I told him no way since the case was sorted last year. I looked up the number later and saw a bunch of other people saying the same sort of thing happened to them.

I got a call asking for someone named Arlene. I said they must have the wrong number, but then the person started talking about claiming compensation for an accident I supposedly had - which I didn’t. I ended the call, but they kept ringing me back afterwards.

Got a call from 01392922018 today, it was this woman who definitely wasn’t English. She started off saying something about a recent accident I was supposedly involved in, but I’ve never had one. She even used my name, which gave me the creeps. I just hung up straight away - seemed like a total scam to me. Not comfy at all how she knew my name like that.

I had a missed call from this number but they wanted me to ring them back, said my call to them didn’t go through. When I looked up the number, it popped up as one of those telemarketing scam calls. Just so you know, even though I’m signed up with the TPS, these annoying spam calls still get through!

Definitely a scam of some kind. I just trash the messages straight away since they’re completely unrelated to any healthcare stuff. I’m not exactly sure what the scam is about, but I’m certain it has nothing to do with health services.

Don’t fall for scams, report them straight to the police. There’s a simple system in place to help with this. Just search ‘action fraud’ on Google and head to the UK police website. From there, go to the phishing report section and at the very bottom you’ll find a quick form to fill in. You don’t need to sign up for anything. Make sure to add any threats or abusive language you received in the free text box at the end of the mostly checkbox form.

I received a voicemail supposedly from "NatWest" on my mobile, and they even mentioned the last 4 digits of a card I actually have. Thing is, the card is from RBS, not NatWest, so I'm definitely not calling them back. I reckon maybe someone I dealt with shared my details with them. If that's the case, it’s kind of concerning.
