I picked up and there was nothing, just silence. Probably the automated message messed up or didn’t come through properly this time.

So this bloke said he was from Openreach and wanted me to check the lights on my router. Then he asked what gadget I was using, which didn't seem right, so I fibbed a bit. Next, he told me to switch it on. When I asked for a reason, he went on about how BT supplies all broadband across the UK, even for cable firms. That’s when I proper told him off and hung up on him.

This bloke called me up, sounded like he had a heavy Asian accent, claiming he was from BT. He said my internet router was causing issues and asked what devices were plugged into it. When I asked him why he needed to know that, he just cut me off and ended the call!

Some bloke rang up saying he was with Openreach, asking if my missus, who’s 72, had ever owned a large black ____k. Proper weird question to just come out with!
