10 yearsI picked up and this lady just said 'good bye' but with a bit of a mumble, then quickly ended the call.10 yearsGot a call and when I asked for the person who owns the house, as soon as I asked who was calling, they just hung up. I'm already signed up with the TPS, so not sure why they're still calling.Telephone Preference Service10 yearsI picked up but there was complete silence on the other end, so I just decided to block the number.10 yearsI received a call from this number but when I tried to return the call, I was met with a recorded message saying, "this number is not in service." Honestly, life's too fleeting to stress over it. Best just to disregard it!10 yearsI got a call from this number, and when I picked it up, it was just silent on the other end. Quite peculiar, really.10 yearsReceived several calls from this number. Each time I picked up, there was utter silence, then an automated voice chimes in with a cheery "goodbye". That's enough for me; I've now put them on my blocked list.11 yearsRang me and then abruptly disconnected.11 yearsEvery time I pick up, there’s nobody on the other end.11 yearsI received a rather unsettling phone call from what appeared to be a call centre, purporting to be 'The Government'. When I pressed for further clarification on which government entity was behind the call, the chap - who identified himself as Denis Patel - seemed quite flustered and just kept repeating his spiel. He later asserted that he was ringing on behalf of the Department of Energy! I made it clear that I don't entertain unsolicited marketing calls. To my surprise, he had my full name and address, insisting it was within their rights to contact me. What really irked me was when I hung up, that same bloke had the gall to ring back and ominously whispered that I would be inundated with calls from them every single day. The topic? Apparently, it's all about some boiler replacement. Absolutely ridiculous! The GovernmentDenis PatelDepartment of Energy11 yearsI had a rather unpleasant experience with a call from this number, purporting to be from "the Government." I swiftly informed them that legitimate government agencies wouldn’t be cold-calling individuals, and planned to end the conversation. To my astonishment, they promptly rang back, hurling obscenities at me and even insinuating that they knew my address, stating they’d be popping round the following day between four and five to install a boiler for a staggering £5,000. I firmly told them they were deluded and decided to hang up on the conversation. Just when I thought it was over, an anonymous caller named Phillip, claiming to represent the Government, attempted to discuss my boiler, but I hung up on him too. Subsequently, I was bombarded with six calls from various unknown numbers, which I wisely allowed to divert to my voicemail. What truly unnerves me is how they managed to acquire not only my phone number but also my address, acting as if they have the audacity to threaten and abuse people over the phone. If you see this number pop up on your screen, do yourself a favour and ignore it, as they are incredibly menacing. - (The name they provide changes each time, and rest assured, they are not affiliated with the Government).PhillipGovernment11 yearsI tend to ignore calls from numbers that aren't saved in my phone. Cheers, KASKAS11 yearsI received a rather peculiar call from this number back on the 18th of November, 2015, on my work phone. The caller inquired about the age of my boiler, which struck me as odd. When I probed for clarification and asked which address they were referencing, I was astonished to hear my previous home address, one I had disposed of merely three months prior. Upon questioning the legitimacy of this, the representative brazenly retorted, "don’t be daft" and "aren’t you surprised I know where you live?" When I pointed out that it seemed a bit cheeky for him to insult me whilst attempting to sell something, he backtracked, claiming he wasn’t trying to sell me anything at all. He then accused me of ringing him, told me to quit wasting his time, and hung up. Quite an odd encounter!11 yearsReceived a call from this number. I picked up, but there was complete silence on the other end. Then, out of nowhere, an automated voice chimed in and simply said ‘goodbye’. Strange experience!11 yearsOn the 7th of November, 2015, I received a phone call from this particular number. I might have experienced other calls from it prior, but it was on this occasion that I decided to investigate further by calling 1471. This incident was reminiscent of numerous other calls I've encountered; when I answered with a "hello," there was only emptiness on the other end, prompting me to hang up. I've come to realise it’s best to do this to avoid being linked to a call centre.11 yearsFor the past three days, I've been receiving calls from them inquiring about our boiler's age.
