Recently, I had a new phone system set up, but it seems it was mistakenly dialling numbers that it shouldn’t have. These calls were meant to be directed only to my clients, but I’ve now rectified the issue by uninstalling the system. I assure you, this should not happen anymore. We also reside in Devon and received a call from this number at 4:15 in the afternoon. Luckily, we were away at the time. I’m registered with the Telephone Preference Service. These sorts of calls certainly make you hesitant to answer your own phone. On the bright side, by picking up, those callers end up facing a fee!

To my annoyance, they rang straight back, and by then, we had switched to the answering machine. They proceeded to drone on with their tedious message until we had to physically yank the phone line out. It's definitely time to lodge a complaint!
