I just got a call from someone who sounded Asian and now says they’re with Virgin Media. I told them I wasn’t going to give remote access to my router on my PC since Virgin can fix any issues themselves without me needing to do anything. After a bit of back and forth, I got tired and ended the call. I’m definitely blocking that number from now on.

Got a call from a woman with an Asian accent saying she was calling from Virgin Media tech support about my internet. I called her out straight away, told her she was just tryna scam me. She got pretty mad and started arguing, so I just told her to sod off and ended the call. She phoned again shortly after, so I left her waiting while I was outside where the birds were going mad. My cousin fell for one of these tricks and ended up losing loads of cash to them ??

Some bloke rang me up saying he was from Talk Talk and warned my internet would be cut off in a day since my router got hacked. I asked what kind of hack it was, and he told me to run some Windows command so he could fix my router remotely. When I requested his name and asked if he worked with a guy called Jim, the line just went dead. Definitely sounded dodgy to me!

I usually just let it go to voicemail and leave it at that. They never seem keen on dealing with that and tend to drop the call straight away. Honestly, I’m not convinced that the internet providers are doing enough to track down and deal with these annoying people.

I've been bombarded by calls from these fraudsters claiming to represent TalkTalk, and let's just say their English leaves a lot to be desired. The very first time they rang, they warned me that my router was compromised and that I’d be without internet for a day. The next time, they threatened a two-week outage! After the third call, when I questioned why I was getting yet another warning about my connection, the chap simply hung up on me. It's such a shame, as I was itching to tell him exactly what I thought of his tactics, just as I had with the previous two. So, I've recently picked up a whistle, and I’m eagerly awaiting my next 'chat' - fingers crossed the next one on the line might be a bit hard of hearing for a few days! Honestly, these con artists are the absolute worst. I can't help but wonder if they're sourcing the phone numbers from that data breach TalkTalk had a couple of years back.

Got a call from someone who said they were with TALKTALK, sounded really Indian to me. Didn’t pay much attention and just ended the call and blocked the number straight away. I also reported it to TALKTALK, they’ll likely make sure to stop that number from ringing up all their customers.

Some woman rang me saying she was from Talk Talk and my internet was gonna be cut off soon. I wasn’t very polite and told her off before hanging up. Afterwards, I got in touch with Talk Talk myself and let them know about the call. They blocked that number for me, so fingers crossed I won’t have to deal with any more calls from it.

I had a rather peculiar phone call earlier from a woman claiming to represent TalkTalk. She informed me that my internet was about to be cut off due to some hacking business. Quite amused, I remarked that I’d actually be quite keen to see what being hacked was like! To that, she simply replied, "That's your choice; you've been warned,” before hanging up. Quite a bizarre exchange, if you ask me!

I've had this lot ring me up three times now, claiming to be from TalkTalk but their English is shocking. First time, they told me my router was infected and I’d be offline for a whole day. This bloke rang me up saying he was with TalkTalk and claimed my router was throwing error codes. He asked me to open a Windows command prompt so he could point out the issues. When I mentioned I don’t use Windows and that the shortcut he gave didn’t work on my computer, he just didn’t seem to get it. I told him to jog on and hung up, then blocked that number straight away. Later, I tried calling it back and got some American-sounding automated message saying the number wasn’t in use. Pretty clear it was just another take on that old "Microsoft Support" scam.

I kinda get a kick out of these "talktalk" calls. Anytime they ring, I pretend to go along with what they say (but only after I've unplugged my internet first). I tell them I’m worried coz I’m partly blind, hard of hearing, and I’ve got dementia. A couple of weeks ago, I managed to keep one of these tricksters chatting away on the phone for over two hours. The poor bloke was really patient trying to get my info, but while I’m keeping him busy, he ain’t out there scamming anyone else who might fall for it.

Loads of times I've gotten calls that pop up as International on my caller ID. Twice today, I've had calls marked as International but with this exact number. I answered the first one, thinking it might be my mate from France who rings occasionally. But it’s baffling - how come it’s got an Exeter number but my phone still flags it as International? Feels like some sneaky trick to con us, or maybe someone’s phone has been compromised too!

He went on about how many lights were blinking on it and said I had to get on my computer to sort it out. I told him I don’t actually own a computer. a young asian lady rang me claiming she was from talktalk. i told her that talktalk never phone their customers, as i was told before, and she just hung up. over the past 3 weeks, ive gotten about 8 calls from different numbers all saying theyre from talktalk. ive even explained that im dealing with the affairs of a relative who passed away, but they dont care. once i said i had no funds, they quickly ended the call. ive put the numbers on this site, and todays one was 01392762380. ive also let talktalk know about all this.

I’ve had a few calls in the last couple of days from people with Asian accents, a mix of men and women, claiming they were ringing on behalf of TalkTalk. Thing is, TalkTalk don’t usually ring you unless y’ive reached out first. This feels like one of those phishing scams trying to trick you into giving away your TalkTalk account info. Best thing to do is just end the call straight away and let TalkTalk know what’s going on.

Got a call again from this dodgy number 01392762380, third time this week! Some pretend TalkTalk bloke trying to scare me about my broadband being cut off because of ransomware issues. I told him I was with Sky Broadband, even though I’m not, and he just dropped the call. I’ve started blocking the number now so hopefully they won’t bother me again.
