Picked up the phone but said nothing. The woman on the other end was having a proper giggle with someone else and said, "I don't even know her name yet - maybe I’ll just call her Fanny, you know what I mean - ha ha ha." Seriously, I wasn’t amused one bit!!!! Blocked the number straight away.

He was asking about my energy provider, bills, and home insurance, seemed like he wanted to push some cheap deal and probably get my card details later on. He just kept going on and on, wouldn't stop. I ended up blocking the number.

Just got a call from someone who said they were doing a quick lifestyle survey for National Service. I didn’t catch her name, but it sounded dodgy straight away so I ended the call. When I looked up "National Service" online, nothing legit came up - just historical stuff about when the UK ended national service and debates about bringing it back. Definitely seems like a scam to me.

It appears to be a classic case of inbound telemarketing. Upon picking up, there was an obvious lag before they actually spoke. I could hear all sorts of office chatter in the background, which was quite distracting. They struggled to pronounce my last name, despite it being right in front of them-how hard can it be? And honestly, who greets someone with "good morning" when the clock is ticking towards three in the afternoon? Quite baffling, really!
