I received a call on my mobile from a number I didn't recognise, and they didn’t bother to leave a message. It struck me as dodgy, so I decided to look it up on this site. After seeing what folks had to say about it, I promptly added it to my block list.

I had no idea who was ringing, so I decided to reject the call. Out of curiosity, I looked up the number and found that it belonged to an energy firm, likely trying to peddle their services to me. Honestly, these unsolicited calls are such a nuisance. If I'm in the market for something, I prefer to do my own digging to find the best deal instead of being bombarded by pushy salespeople!

Received a voicemail on 21st September 2020, featuring a lengthy four-minute conversation. I’ve since deleted it and added the number to my block list after having a look.

I’ve got a phone that shows me who’s calling, and it’s got a handy answer machine as well. Whenever this number pops up, I just let the machine take the call, but every single time, the line goes dead. I’m left completely in the dark about what they might be after. If it were someone legitimate, I’d expect them to leave a message or at the very least a way to get back in touch.

I had a chat with a chap from Octopus Energy the other day. He was quite courteous and mentioned that they might be able to help me lower my gas and electricity expenses. I explained to him that I’ve committed to a contract that runs until April next year. He expressed gratitude for my time and then politely ended the call.

I've had yet another call from these folks claiming to be from Ocubus Energy or something of that sort. Thing is, we don't even use this energy supplier at our residence! I made it quite clear that I'm not the one to deal with the bills. They keep insisting it’s some sort of error on their end, yet they persist in ringing me up. It’s baffling!

A woman rang me up claiming she had a deal on pristine, branded clothing at a bargain price. I inquired about her business name and asked for any evidence of her selling clothes, but just as I was getting somewhere, the call abruptly dropped.
